Relocation and Expansion of the Little Free Pantry

PLAINFIELD, IN (March 2025) – The Plainfield-Guilford Township Public Library is excited to announce the relocation and expansion of its Little Free Pantry to better meet the needs of the community. The pantry has been moved to the southeast end of the library parking lot at 1120 Stafford Road, Plainfield, Indiana, and now features a larger, more weather-resistant pantry box to accommodate increased use.

The Little Free Pantry is open to all and serves as a free, 24/7 resource where community members can both donate and receive non-perishable food items and hygiene products. Anyone in need is welcome to take what they require, and those who are able can contribute items to help support neighbors facing food insecurity.

"A little kindness can go a long way," said Library Director, Montie Manning. "Our hope is this pantry becomes a reliable resource for anyone who needs it and a reminder that even the small acts of giving can make a big difference."

Community members are encouraged to drop off donations such as canned goods, boxed meals, toiletries, and other shelf-stable necessities. The pantry operates on a simple principle: Give what you can, take what you need.
